More about YoghurLac® – more than just milk!

Low pH (< 4.0) – inhibits growth of E. Coli. and other
harmful bacteria

YoghurLac® Contains:
• milk powder – easily absorbable energy and protein
• Lactic acid bacteria – inhibits harmful bacteria
• Citric acid – efficient acidifier, minimizes bacterial growth, provides
a fresh taste
• Lactose and dextrose – efficient and easily absorbable energy
• Natural antioxidants – improve immune status
• Electrolyte supply – Na+, K+, Cl-

Newborn Weak Piglets

Piglets with low birth weight should receive colostrum from the sow, if possible!

Day zero, new born piglets

Piglets with birth below 700 g:
• Dissolve 100 g YoghurLac® into 1 litre of lukewarm clean water
• Assign 10-15 ml YoghurLac® solution into the back of the mouth
• Place weak piglets in the covered creep area for up to 2 hours
• Check piglets every 20-30 min. and administer 10-15 ml YoghurLac®
• Repeat process until piglets suck milk at the udder or eat YoghurLac solution
from the Pig-LET Starter feeder

Piglets with birth above 700 g

• Dissolve 100 g YoghurLac® into 1 litre of lukewarm clean water
• Piglets suck milk at the udder or eat YoghurLac® solution from the Pig-LET Starter feeder placed in the creep area

How to use YoghurLac®

For weaning pigs

• Mix 125 grams YoghurLac® into 2 litre lukewarm clean tap water.

• Stir continuously

• Feed ad libitum twice a day in trough or

• Use as an appetizer on top of the dry feed for 2 – 8 days after weaning

• Keep troughs clean

For weak new-born piglets

• Newborn piglets in first 1-3 days.

• Administer the Yoghurlac® solution by feeding the piglets at the creep area once a day in the afternoon applied in Pig-LET Starter feeder.

For suckling piglets

• Mix 125 grams YoghurLac® into 1 litre lukewarm clean tabwater. Stir continuously

• Feed ad libitum twice a day for 5-8 days
